Chile has signed 26 trade agreements with 64 markets, accounting for 63% of the world's population and 86.3% of global GDP, providing investors with an attractive and vibrant business platform.
China is Chile's largest trading partner, export destination and source of import. According to the statistics of Chilean customs, the import and export of goods between Chile and China reached a record up to 39.59 billion us dollars in 2018, up 26.5% year-on-year.
Chile's imports from China are mainly mechanical and electrical products, textile raw materials and base metal products. From January to September 2018, Chile's imports from China reached 7.04 billion us dollars, accounting for 63.9% of Chile's imports from China. In mechanical and electrical products, textiles and raw materials, shoes and boots and other products, respectively accounted for 36.3%, 66.5%, 48.2% of the same product import market in Chile. China is Chile's largest trading partner, export destination and source of import.
